I'm getting pretty much the same parts, except for a 250GB HDD instead of 500. I also decided that I will go with the EVGA GPU because of the step-up program. I suggest you consider getting 4GB of RAM. Is your RAM 2x1GB? If so, you should get two of those.

Also, you overlooked a CD-ROM drive.

Im not sure but I think the DVD drive plays CDs too. Under specs it has a speed for DVDs and CDs and some reviews talk about how quiet it runs both.

I was thinkin about that board for the PCIe 2.0. I think I might hold off until that and DDR 3 are standard.

well im about 99% positive im not getting a graphics card for christmas so i probably wont go through with it due to my super secret plan

Oh, right. Yeah, I think I'm going to stick with that board as well. PCI-e 2.0 is unnecessary at this point.
